The early years build habits
Nursery to UKG is about talking, listening, play and first letters and numbers. Most CBSE schools follow the national framework for the foundational stage.

NCERT books from Class 1
CBSE schools mostly use NCERT textbooks, with English, Hindi, maths and EVS in primary, and science and social science from Class 6.

Two board exams: Class 10 and Class 12
CBSE holds public exams at the end of Class 10 and Class 12, usually from mid-February. In Class 11 students pick a stream such as science, commerce or humanities.
